The SJDP family today had a privilege of hosting the President of the Republic of Hungary His Excellency János Áder and First Lady Anita Herczegh at St Joseph Technical Secondary School. Received by Jesuits Eastern Africa Provincial Fr. Kizito Kiyimba SJ.

The President visited the school where he had prepared a donation of education materials for our secondary school students and to inspect the ongoing construction of an ultra-modern workshop facility for vocational skills training. He was accompanied by the Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for Education Prof. George Magoha, the Cabinet Secretary for ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs Mr. Joe Mucheru, and other officials from the Government.

The Hungarian President arrived in the country on Sunday for a four-day State Visit. St Joseph Technical Secondary School is currently building a new workshop facility funded by the Hungary Helps Agency. The facility, when complete, will be able to host at least 500 young women and youths who undertake skills-for-life courses in Electrical and Electronic Installation, Hairdressing and Beauty, and Fashion and Design.
